Are you one of those hopeful types that make New Year’s resolutions? You start out January excited about all the things you’ll get done and find your resolve diminishing by the time February rolls around.
We’ve all been there. Promises are hard to keep, especially when no one is holding us accountable. That’s what makes God’s promises to us so amazing, right? He keeps every one of them, every time.
What if this year, instead of making personal resolutions, you sat down with your family and set goals together? Maybe yours is to spend more time with your husband. Perhaps your child promises to keep his or her room clean. Together as a family, you could resolve to set aside some time to read your Bibles. The possibilities are endless.
We designed a fun form to help you keep track of your family’s individual and group goals, set a completion date, and also choose a reward to celebrate your accomplishment. This is a great motivator for kids and adults alike!
As a family, write down all your goals then review your list each week to track your progress. Take time to applaud your wins and encourage each other when you’re struggling. Whether or not you achieve everything you set out to do, you’ll soon discover this activity will bring your family closer together.
That’s our prayer for you in the New Year. Enjoy setting and accomplishing your goals and growing together in 2018!
