10 Great Reminders That God Never Changes

Our world seems to change by the minute, doesn’t it? As I type these words, my circumstances are drastically different than what they will be when you read this.

School schedules and reopening plans are unknown for many of us. If school does start on time, the conditions our children will be in seem to change by the hour. No matter the age of your kids, you likely wake up and wonder what foundation will get swept out from under you next.

The past couple weeks have increased my anxiety, especially with the unknowns of school. A day feels like a month, a month feels like a year. And nothing in my to-do planner seems certain anymore.

But you know what God continues to remind me? He is certain. He is steadfast.

So instead of trying to guess what circumstances or fears you face today, I’m pointing you straight to the Solid Foundation who’s constant through it all. Write out these verses and post them around your house or on the back of your hand—whatever you need to do to stay grounded in Him.

Your world may be shaky and unstable, but God is with you. Walk forward in faith, mama. You are not alone.

The Lord will not reject his people; he will not abandon his special possession. – Psalm 94:14 NLT

The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. – Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT

Know this: God, your God, is God indeed, a God you can depend upon. He keeps his covenant of loyal love with those who love him and observe his commandments for a thousand generations. – Deuteronomy 7:9 MSG

The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever. – Isaiah 40:8 NLT

We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone. – Psalm 33:20-22 NLT

For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed. – Malachi 3:6 ESV

God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? – Numbers 23:19 NLT

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. – Hebrews 13:8 NLT

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:38-39 NLT

The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. – Isaiah 40:28b-31 NLT
