My favorite way to celebrate Easter is reading the bible story with Resurrection eggs.
I love singing up From the Grave He Arose! during Sunday service and I love a nice meal with family.
I enjoy going through the Resurrection Eggs that are made by Family Life Today. Each egg contains a physical item that helps tell the true story of Holy Week and leads up to Easter Sunday. For instance, there is a donkey in one egg, and the accompanying booklet contains the Scripture regarding the cost that Jesus rode into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. There is a crown of thorns, a whip, coins to represent those paid to Judas, and more. The booklet tells the narrative of the Easter story with all the Scriptures. The best egg is the last one….it is white! Inside, it is EMPTY! It’s empty because Christ is risen just as He said, so the tomb (egg) is empty!!
